The Gay Photographers Network is an organisation for gay men and women, and their friends, who are interested in photography. The aim is to create a network where people can share photographic ideas & knowledge and get together regularly. We're a non-profit making group, and so only have to cover our meeting costs, website development costs and the costs of activities that we undertake during the year. We have an annual membership fee of £10. If you would just like to come along to one of the monthly meetings to meet members of the group, we charge a visitor fee of £5, and after that it's just a further £5 for a year's subscription.

We also have a very active Facebook group, which is a good place to share work and interact with other members before coming along to a meeting.

Our membership is diverse and inclusive. We range from professional photographers to relative newcomers but what we all share in common is our passion for photography. The reasons for joining are accordingly also diverse. For some it’s to network, for others, to gain new opportunities to show and perhaps sell their work, to further their skills and improve techniques, or just to share interest with other photographers. Whatever your motivation there is something for you at the GPN.

GPN members are encouraged to take an active role in the various activities, whether it’s leading a photo walk, playing a role in the planning and hosting of our annual exhibition, leading a practical session at a monthly meeting, giving a presentation or simply becoming involved in the day to day running of the group, there are plenty of opportunities to put to good use your personal skills.
